I've been following other running related blogs primarily Life's Little Epiphanies and OliveToRun. Each day they seem to have a theme for their posts. I feel that I should follow their lead, but somehow, I don't want to appear to just outright copy them.
I have been absolutely terrible about posting to this blog, I probably don't have too many readers following me anyway, but that's alright.
As some of you know from a previous post, I have been unemployed for about 6 months, it has been a very humbling experience and one that has made me reevaluate what is and isn't important in life. I have been sending resumes, about 300; received two phone calls; and two interviews. I was getting discouraged and started losing sleep over my next moves.
Until I received an e-mail for an interview, for a job that I really liked and wanted.
The company is based overseas, but they have offices in Houston. They flew me down, put me up in a hotel and conducted the interview. After two weeks, I received word of an offer! I tried to remain calm and began reviewing the offer numbers over the phone before verbally agreeing to the offer. The offer is very generous and will go a long way to righting the ship... It will, however, mean relocating overseas, which I am very willing to do and excited at the opportunity.
So in coming months, my GPS run location will be interesting...
